Gli amori di Cipriano e di Giustina : overo, Lo schiavo del Demonio : commedia rarisssima inedita. [166-?]

Manuscript copy of a play by 17th century Italian librettist Giacinto Andrea Cicognini, based on Pedro Calderón de la Barca's Magico prodigioso. Concerned with the romance and martyrdom of Saints Giustina and Cipriano, Cicognini's play was one of several adaptations of Calderón's work. This text appears to have been removed from a larger volume of works, as its pages are numbered consecutively from 566-693 in a contemporary hand.

p. 566-693, bound ; 27 cm.
